Venue: Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow
Dates: 16th April–29th May 2010
Preview: 16th April 2010
Notes: Two-person commission with Faith Wilding for Glasgow International
This discursive exhibition project explores convergences within the artists’ separate art practices that expand, illuminate and learn from feminist concerns and legacies in ways relevant and pertinent to ‘a present’ of Glasgow 2010, while aware of the need to think ahead.
The exhibition encompasses installations by Davis and Wilding, a day-long symposium titled How We Go On Now, an archive room of ‘peculiar resources’ and reading room collaboration with Glasgow Women’s Library. The reading room will include texts, films, visual and audio works from the Read Out! Read In! Feminist Lines of Flight in Art and Politics online resource1, which continues to act as a catalyst for a network of reading group discussions.
