HOTEL presents Souvenir, a group exhibition featuring work by Kevin Hutcheson, Alan Michael, Scott Myles and Haley Tompkins.

Kevin Hutcheson (b. 1971) recently curated ‘Pree Theatre’ at Glasgow Project Room, and presented a solo show at The collective Gallery in Edinburgh. He has also taken part in group exhibitions at Corta Alta Museum, Fossombrone, Kolenhof Kunstverein, Nuremberg, fa projects, London, Switchspace, Glasgow, Transmission, Glasgow and the Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh.

Alan Michael (b. 1967) has exhibited in recent group shows at Galerie Diana Stigter, in Amsterdam, Kunstraum B/2 in Leipzig, ‘This has reached the limit conditions of its own rhetoric’ at The Modern Institute, Glasgow, ‘Dirk Bell, Kate Davis, Alan Michael’ at The Changing Room, Stirling. His last solo exhibition ‘Burlesque Schematic’ was at Hotel in 2003. Michael is currently featured in Freize magazine (article by Tom Morton).

Scott Myles (b. 1975) has had solo exhibitions internationally at Jack Hanley Gallery, San Francisco, Galleria Sonia Rosso, Turin; Galerie Fons Welters in Amsterdam, and most recently at The Modern Institute, Glasgow entitled ‘HUO I want to know everything!’. Recent group exhibitons include ‘Somone to share my life with’ at The Approach, London and ‘Context, Form, Troja (Young Scene 03)’ at the Secession, Vienna, (both 2003).

Haley Tompkins (b. 1971) has had solo exhibitions at Andrew Kreps Gallery in New York, Els Hanappe Underground in Athens (both 2003), The Modern Institute in Glasgow and Galerie Giti Nourbakhsch in Berlin (both 2002). Recent group exhibitions include ‘Works on Paper’ at Spruth Magers Projeckte, Munich, a nomination for this years Beck’s Futures, (ICA, London and touring venues), An artist’s monograph on Tompkins was published in 2003 by The Scottish Arts Council and The Modern Institiute.
