Cezary Bodzianowski: Numbers and Dates, White Light, Dusseldorf (23/06–29/07/2007)
Matching White Light’s three exhibition spaces, Cezary Bodzianowski has decided to carry out three public performances in the centre of Cologne on May 11, 12 and 13, 2007 - which will be presented in the subsequent exhibition at White Light in June.
Polish artist Cezary Bodzianowski (*1968, based in Lódz) represents one of the most interesting artistic positions these days. Without a doubt he is amongst the most important representatives of an actually very agile Polish art scene. His work is by now internationally acknowledged. With his performative works he defys current conceptions of artistic practice. His performances, with a duration often no longer than some instants, are characterised by fugacity and refusal. Mostly they remain unnoticed and thereby resist conventional categorisation.
