'Linder Sterling' (New York Times, 20/05/2007)

A humorous mix of suburban appliances, frosted cakes, oversize flowers and sexual imagery, Linder Sterling’s collages at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center are a biting critique of consumer culture in the spirit of Hannah Hoch, but with a punk-rock twist. (This artist began her career designing Buzzcocks album covers.) Seen today, the works’ feminist perspective and irreverent humor are a welcome throwback in a city being devoured by Donald Trumps, Paris Hiltons and Wall Street Brokers.
